‘Rehearsals are hard work but good fun ~ Ian has a professional approach, but a light touch!’ Community member of the Orchestra No auditions - everyone welcome from Age 18 upwards with a minimum of Grade 5 standard in an orchestral instrument. There do have to be limits on numbers of woodwind players. Friendly, great fun & no auditions, however, a minimum of Grade 5 standard is required for membership of the orchestra. Orchestra meets 7.30 – 9.00pm on a Tuesday evening at TC007 (main hall), Park Campus University Of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham. An ideal opportunity for instrumentalists who wish to make new friends, play a wide range of repertoire, in addition to having fun, building confidence, team spirit and performing occasional concerts in the Gloucestershire area to a high standard. We are currently looking for more Violins, Violas, Cellos, 2nd trumpet, plus trombones & percussionists Currently there are no spaces in the woodwind section.
